Latoya Nicole Edwards is the owner of Thriving Well Holistic Wellness Solutions, phenomenal public speaker, and entrepreneur. With over 10 years of clinical experience, she has become a sought-after expert in mental health, trauma, self-care, wellness, and leadership. Latoya has shared her expertise at dozens of universities, colleges, community organizations, churches and conferences— including the Norfolk State University, Old Dominion University,Thomas Nelson Community College, Tidewater Community College, MTV, and NPR to name a few.
Driven by passion and purpose, Latoya touches the lives of many through her work. She has facilitated trauma-informed groups, yoga, and reiki services for teens and adults on various issues related to mental health and wellness. Latoya uses a mix of holistic, traditional therapy, and client-specific methods in her sessions with clients.She also currently provides one on one counseling to individuals. Listening and supporting people through crisis and helping people reach their personal goals and milestones has been a passion and true calling. As a millennial herself, Latoya bring a unique and diverse skill set to the work of therapy and holistic wellness.
Conscious of living what she teaches, Latoya believes that everyone can live a life of service and be intentional about self-care -- the two are not mutually exclusive. She continues to be a pillar of leadership as a coach for recent graduates within the social work and counseling profession as well as helping individuals navigate their career goals and life.
Latoya has her Master degree in Social Work from Norfolk State University and dual Bachelor degrees in Sociology with emphasis in social welfare and African American and African Studies and dual minors in political Science and women studies from Old Dominion University. She also hold 12 post graduate certifications. She is currently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Virginia.
